We always stop at this shoneys on the way south. The staff is always helpful and the food is good. We get the salad bar which has always been well stocked and refreshed frequently.
When you go to Shoney's and get the bar you will definitely get your fill of good home cooked food. It was Sunday after church time and they were busy but they kept the food flowing and always plenty to choose from. The service was great friendly smiling waitress and staff always there to serve you and make you visit enjoyable.
Great salad bar. Bur they were really slow keeping the other foods on the buffet filled. I waited from the time I sat down till I left foe the Salisbury steak to get refilled and it never did get refilled even after I questioned it several times to the waitresses. Ans the clam chowder was nothing but cream ans potatoes. I tried to find some clams bir couldn't. Wont go back.
Everything on the bar tastes deep fried. Even the eggs. The fried green tomatoes are always a soggy mess. The only time I go there is on a Thursday for liver and onions night. It is the only thing that is worth eating. That and the salad bar is pretty good, when it's fresh.
Food quality is not very high, and the price is high for the lack of quality and quantity.
